Contract Work
Kry10 is an IoT technology startup located in Bellevue, WA. They requested the production of a complete set of illustrations to be used in marketing materials. Kry10's brand system is based on the company's 'digital origami' concept which represents their mission to develop an operating system for application creation. This origami set depicts a wide range of birds and colors to enable a spectrum of creative possibilities in future marketing programs and online information.
Approach
For inspiration, I began this project by reviewing traditional origami instructions for birds. A primary goal was to achieve a level of diversity in the orientation, angles and positioning throughout the set.
SOLUTION
Each bird was delivered in Adobe Illustrator, EPS and SVG formats to be used by the company's marketing team in the future. To explore the potential of the image set, I created a sample event poster depicting the birds flying eastward in a flock. This poster was well-received by Kry10 management and will be used as an illustration theme in the promotion of future events.

Contract Work
As a follow-up project for Kry10, I was asked to design the logo for the company’s first product: Scenic. Scenic is a UI framework for developing software applications. Following the origami-bird theme for Kry10's brand, we decided on the parrot to be the face of Scenic. Using Adobe Illustrator, I designed the parrot graphic. I also designed t-shirts and stickers that were created and handed out at developer conferences.
